Unreal Engine 4 - Technical Artist
Mavericks is looking for a mid- level or senior level (supervisor) Technical Artist with a focus in Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) and other significant experience with game engines. You will be collaborating with our technology team in developing new tools and methodologies to deliver top quality productions using UE4.
Support integration of assets by artists;
Create materials, visual effects and shaders;
Work with vfx crew and establish a collaborative pipeline/workflow where assets can be shared
Source and implement solutions to technical problems;
Work on real-time performance optimizations;
Develop tools, blueprints and scripts to optimize the production pipeline;
Collaborate with the Technology team to define requirements for various production tools;
Help define, manage and document workflows for real-time animation productions;
Participate in establishing the optimum pipeline for real-time animation productions.
Minimum of 2 years professional experience with Unreal Engine 4;
Experience and excellent knowledge in editing materials, lights and creating special effects in UE4;
Ability to think creatively and solve technical problems;
Demonstrate logical thinking when solving problems;
Excellent communication skills, both technically and creatively;
Prior experience with vfx on-set experience is an asset
